I came across these two videos a little while ago and I would like to share them with you and hear what you think.

The first one is a very interesting and very well made video, by Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology, Kansas State University, is based on html and how it has changed explaining in pretty simple terms the technology behind how the web had changed the way we communicate and how it has evolved over time.

This next video is a fictitious portrayal of the future of media. The makers of the video, according to the Wikipedia entry, don’t really believe that this is the future of media, but wanted to show what could happen. According to Wikipedia:

The movie is presented from the viewpoint of a fictional “Museum of Media History” in the year 2014. It explores the effects that the convergence of popular News aggregators like Google News and Newsbot with other Web 2.0 technologies such as blogging, social networking and user participation may have on journalism and society at large in a hypothesized future. The film popularized the term Googlezon and touches on major privacy and copyright issues raised in this scenario.

Even iMedia Connection has commented on this. What do you think?
